Blackstone Publishing Logo
Blackstone Publishing is a new venture into the world of print books by its parent company, Blackstone Audio.
I led the department in updating the default logomark to something more unique, memorable, and modern. I like to think of them as "the stones."
My challenge was to create an icon that held its integrity at small scales, allowed for a wide range of creative applications, and maintained enough flexibility to evolve and mature with the company.
This new logomark is simple and abstract, referencing the original B while still being broadly interpretable.
It can be kept in its pure form, but can also be used as an iconic base to illustrate a myriad of different concepts using texture, form, depth, sequencing, and even storytelling.
