Pendle

Pendle is a revival typeface based on a 1904 edition of Charles Lamb's Essays of Elia .
The final product is a text-face that includes roman characters, capitals, punctuation, old-style numerals, and an extended latin character set.
It's a modest, salt-of-the-earth typeface. Solidly built, simple yet respectable, with a diligent, reliable work ethic.
It features a large x-height, short ascenders and descenders, and chunky serifs. As body copy, it has a dark color and dense texture but still remains legible due to its open counters.
