Venture for America

Venture for America is a nonprofit fellowship that connects recent college graduates with startups in emerging U.S. cities, equipping them with the tools and support to become the next generation of entrepreneurs.
To reflect the organization’s energy, purpose, and approachability, I designed a custom monoline logo centered on the word Venture.
This hand-drawn treatment emphasizes the individuality of each Fellow’s journey and serves as a distinctive, memorable mark for the brand.
The monoline style extends throughout the visual system—woven into illustrations, layouts, and iconography—to symbolize connection, momentum, and the unique paths Fellows forge.
Energetic and modern, the refreshed colors turn the classic red, white, and blue colors into something that feels distinctly VFA: bold, bright, and future-facing.
A flexible logo system allows the wordmark to be adapted to various cities, programs, and events, bringing them all together under the ‘Venture’ umbrella.
These variants help convey the breadth and impact of VFA, highlighting the many places and initiatives where fellows make a difference.
To deepen that local connection, I also illustrated badges for each VFA city, inspired by iconic buildings.
These illustrations help personalize the brand for businesses and Fellows, giving them a visual identity they can make their own—ideal for localized collateral, swag, and presentations that celebrate their community and foster hometown pride.
